Tepid baths. Tasmania. AU

Final year of Bachelors Degree. Adaptive reuse. Tepid baths located in Hobart, Tasmania. This semester we are learning about "Adaptive reuse". Conservation of the old existing building. My design concept was to combine nature and time together, with my design being parasitic/growth as we all know nature can be parasites.

Theatre Royal. Tasmania. AU

Final Project for Bachelors Degree. Adaptive Reuse. When the word theatre or music comes to mind, we automatically think of art, colors. These 2 entities have the ability to change the way we look at things and how we feel. ACIPA and CxI are the combination of both theatre performance and music school, it is clear the aim is to shape a livelier city and a whole new experience to the public. Theatre royal is known to be the oldest theatre in Australia. In the 1800’s the theatre gave the public imagination, art and the sense of amazement. ACIPA aims to do the same by giving the public the same amazement as how theatre royal gave the public back in the day. The theatre design is based on Theatre Royal itself metaphorically and literally exploding with colors and music through the façade. A theatre could possess a certain degree of extravagance through the expression of art and music. Colors are a non-verbal statement that can trigger ones imagination. Upon entry to the theatre, visitors get the sense of vastness in the atrium space complemented with music played from students in the music school above. This proposed theatre is designed to expand the imaginations to whoever visits
